DELETED points count towards the AIM historian license count.
FORCE-DELETED points do not count towards the AIM historian license count.
Even when a point is FORCE-DELETED its index is not released for re-use and=
thus the next available index is used. When the index hits the MAXPTS limi=
t imposed by the historian instance configuration you will not be able to a=
dd new points, even if your license count is not reached (the license count=
appears in the MXSRVPTS instance parameter).
To avoid this, set-up your instance upfront with MAXPTS higher than MXSRVPT=
S (double the value should usually do).
For a running instance you can increase the MAXPTS as described under "Modi=
fying Maximum Value Attributes" in B0193YL.
Hope this help,

Even after a force delete the license software wont release the point back =
in so that another point can be added. This has been added as a car but no =
real resolution as far as I am aware. You can verify this when deleting a p=
oint by first looking at the value in the histmgr instance tab, Real Time P=
oints section and configured points value. When the point gets deleted this=
value should increase by the number of points deleted/force deleted. Our s=
ystem reached the limit due to points being added and some were deleted so =
additional points could be added, however this didn't decrease and we were =
forced to increase our license to add the additional points even though our=
total count of active points was less than the original licensed amount of=
active points. :( This meant $$$$ spent due to a bug or lose historical da=
ta and start the historian over.
