Dirk,
What calls /opt/fox/ais/bin/aisstart to execute?

Re: [foxboro] RBatch ii help
Kevin,
If you expect Foxapi to be the problem the following might be of intrest
to you: (on an I/A 6.3.1 using Batchsuite and Foxapi)
To check if foxapi is running you can do following:
Ps ?ef | grep api
root 27727 1 0 11:21:52 pts/6 0:00 /opt/fox/ais/bin/foxapi wrproc
root 27729 1 1 11:21:52 pts/6 0:15 /opt/fox/ais/bin/foxapi om_poll
root 27725 1 0 11:21:52 pts/6 0:00 /opt/fox/ais/bin/foxapi wrtimr
root 27704 1 0 11:21:44 pts/6 0:02 /opt/fox/ais/bin/foxapi
To check which version you have:
/opt/fox/ais/bin/
foxtst
1200
29
version number is at the top, use -1 to go one menu up and exit
You can also check the log file
/opt/fox/ais/bin/foxapi.log
Stopping and starting foxapi:
cd /opt/fox/ais/bin and run aisstart. this will stop and restart. running
aisstop will stop the application
Also usefull is Foxspy:You can run through all the lists and check for
tags with a bad status. I use it for PI (OSIsoft) troubleshooting. You
should check for bad status tags 0000 or ie 8023 and 8123. there's a
status description in B0193UD rev D appendix A
Cd /opt/fox/ais/bin
Foxspy
913
1 to start with 1ste dbse
enter many times
-1
-1
-1 to exit
hope this helps,
Rgds,
Dirk Pauwels
