Apologies in advance for any '=3D20' in this note=2E I often use mail2web=
=2Ecom
when on the road (as I am today)=2E I use Outlook 2K when I'm using my
notebook=2E mail2web adds the '=3D20' but Outlook 2K does not=2E I have =
no idea
what encoding mail2web uses=2E
Maybe someone can look at this e-mail and figure out where the '=3D20' com=
es
from? If there is an option to specify the encoding in mail2web, maybe
someone out there knows where it is and how to set it?
Thanks!
JWS

I'm running Outlook 2003=2E It seems that the choice here is:
1) Right click
2) Select Outlook Properties
3) Select the 'Internet Format'
A 'Plain Text / UUEncode' is not an option=2E On the other hand, I don't s=
eem
to get the substitutions either=2E
Odd=2E

I'm hoping this message now appears in plain-text, with no 'translated'
characters=2E
Apparently Exchange servers use the quoted-printable format for
plain-text messages, which allows the use of soft-return <LF>
characters, which of course are not really 'plain text'=2E
When sending messages using an Exchange client, it's not enough just to
specify the message format as plain text=2E You also need to override the
format setting for each recipient - right-click on the recipient's
address in the 'To:' field, and select 'Plain Text / UUEncode'=2E
Hope this works!

Con,
I can't decipher from your message headers which e-mail client you're
using, but the problem is you're sending using Quoted-printable
encoding, which the list software translates some characters into their
hexadecimal equivalents=2E Please send as plain text=2E
Search Google for quoted-printable for further information=2E
(I know others have had this problem also even while sending as plain
text=2E In that case, you may have to confer with whoever is controlling
your mail server=2E There may be some global settings on the server that
affect the way your messages is handled on the way out=2E)

Duc
