Ken, Is it possible the OPC license files expired or got corrupted. This is near the start of a new month you know. Connect to the AIM.OPC.1 and add a group with a name op your choice. Right click on the new group and select "add items". In the browsing pane navigate to the AW node to which you connect to get the IA data. When the AW is selected you will see the "@status" alias as the only available tag in the tag pane below. Double click on the alias and then add it to the list of tags to be added to the OPC Explorer. When you will close the "tag studio" window and update the OPC Explorer the "@status" will show in its string value some information. When all is OK the value is "AIM*AT server status [OK]". If anything is expired (such as a temporary license) you will see here some useful info also. For more in depth troubleshooting I strongly suggest to have someone from TAC guide you. Hope this helps, Alex Dumitru, Eng. SI & IT Invensys Systems Canada Inc. There are two independent identical OPC links which use AIM*OPC and AIM*AT Ver. 3.3 - off platform box connected to P90s. The links were maintenance free since late Dec 2009 and we had rebooted each AW multiple times since then. The plant has been on line since Jan 2010 and we have made no configuration changes. Last week one of the AW (AW8431) was rebooted and the link did not come back. On a second reboot it came back. Then the other AW (Aw8430) was rebooted due to a Sys Mon issue and then its respective AIM*OPC link did not come back. After two more reboots - three in total , the link is still not back and need guidance on next step. The RTime client running on the MPCS and connected to the AIM*OPC seems to "connect" but points do no populate. Could it be something has expired and where are the important settings to check ?
