Re: [foxboro] Question - Installing Foxboro IADay 0 Ethernet / problem with Dell P4

I've observed successful I/A installs circa version 6.1 on several PC's
and laptops too. I hope you have a written procedure (you can get these
from Foxboro Field service) as there are a number of very specific steps
that need to be followed starting with the partitioning of the hard
disk, partition sizes, NTFS file system, NT installation, service pack
installation, network setup etc.... I remember trying to get the list
of supported PC's but found that such a list is not really maintained
due to the number of PC's out there and the frequency of changes. The
guys doing the testing seemed to have about a 90% success rate back when
they were testing a lot, maybe you are in the 10% part. It could be
your NT4.0 ghost image is from a system where NT was not specifically
installed per I/A installation procedures. In which case, you may want
to install NT from scratch.
