We use pure terephtalic acid in our plant (sorry can't tell you what for).
It is a white powder much like baby powder. It is very fine powder and
will cover eveything if not contained. It is considered an explosive
material and the area should be classified Class II Div 2 group G.

Okay, so it's not an I/A Series question, but you guys probably know.
What is PTA? What does one do with it? Is it especially dangerous/hard to
work with?
Anyone have a PTA plant?

The reporting package in V8 uses a Windows server connected to a Solaris
AW.
We decided that reporting was simply easier and more useful if done in a
Windows environment.
The rest of the package runs on our AWs under either Solaris or Windows.

We are runnig I/A batch ver 5.3 on an AW51B,
We recently updated to 6.3 but the batch software
ran, when we were at 6.1.
However, I do not know if the "latest" version is 51 series compatible.
One of our sister plants has a newer version that requires a sequel server,
but
they are also running a 70 series system.
