As Russ Boulay has suggested, you can look at /usr/openwin/bin/snapshot.  If 
you read through the MAN pages you can see various options to save the file in 
a format that is easily viewed on Windows.  I have used this many times to 
archive graphics onto windows based servers and DVD's.

There are other graphic tools in this directory that may help you get exactly 
what you want. Check related tools when you read through the snapshot manual 
pages.
