Re: [foxboro] Pricing models (was: AIM*Historian Process Alarm Message Retrieval)

OLE and ODBC cannot generate text files on an AW51. If you want to run
text-file-extraction scripts on your Unix-based AIM* installation, you are
out of luck with the base product (I don't know if AIM*Inform will do this
or not; I'm still running legacy :)

While doing ODBC or OLE off-platform is an option, I suspect most longtime
I/A users are used to the on-platform approach using standard Unix tools.

Re: [foxboro] Pricing models (was: AIM*Historian Process Alarm Message
Retrieval)

In the case of AIM, we provide the "minimal" functionality through:

1) The use of OLE DB or ODBC feeding Excel for messages and =

2) The Data Display (and its command line interface) for real-time
values.

Both of these mechanisms can produce text files.

So, I think we do what you are asking or am I missing something?
