Well, thanks for the pointer but unfortunately there are still problems.
The 'start' and 'stop' options to the 'trend' dmcmd do indeed freeze the
trend like FoxDoc states (if put in the Trend's embedded script, for
example). But if we set the trend back to updating by clicking the
'Update' button, it will lose all historical data.
Interestingly, if we open the trend first in non-paused (without
anything in the embedded script), and give it the 'trend start ...'
command from a shell with pref, it will go to paused mode and also goes
back to non-paused mode when clicking on 'Update' without losing
historical data. It only doesn't work when the 'trend start ...' is in
the embedded script.
So my question remains (slightly modified): How to open a trend in
paused mode and keep the historical data when clicking on 'Update' again??
This is FoxView 10.2 on I/A 8.3.
