Hafedh,
A long time ago I wrote a little thing to do almost what you ask for
now. The script is actually two scripts, one you start, pass options to
and so forth, and separate ones that you can write that get called by the
first one to do the actual work. Kind of like when you put a script in the
rc.d directory. Anyway, the first script dumps your entire CP with the
equivalent of iccprt, then runs the worker scripts to extract the
information you need. However it only works on the workfile. And I
believe what you want is the data from the running CP. So that needs to
added. In case there are any other cathedral builders in the bazaar, here
is what I have so far. You can download the files from the FTP server at
www.capesoftware.net. Log in as "fox", and the password is...well if you
are on this list you can guess the password on the first try. The files
are in the rpt_cape directory, If you are going there with Internet
Exploder, then try ftp://fox@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/rptcape_files/
If anybody wants to update this, feel free to--just make your work
available to the rest of us, and by all means don't expect to ever charge
money for it (you don't want somebody on this list finding out that you
cheated on the GPL). This is the gist of the GPL (Gnu Public License)
Should one or two folks actually want to work on this, I will be happy to
act as the moderator, folding changes into the code, and keeping the files
and the rest of us up-to-date.
