I would suggest stopping the fxbais interface(s) and the foxapi, check
with apiverify if all services have been stopped and restart everything.
/opt/fox/ais/bin/P should show all services running from FoxAPI. Foxspy
should give you a list of all blocks being processed (/opt/fox/ais/bin)
I've been a PI user for about 6 years, the only time we had problems
with pi tags not updating was when I edited a couple of large
lists...solution then was stopping and starting all services. I expect
it's some kind of synchronisation error? Mind you it takes a long time
before our fxbais have established comm with the server, +/- 15-20min
before everything is back to normal....

Dirk

Subject: [foxboro] PI question about FXBAIS
This question goes out to the PI users on the list. We had a massive
power
failure yesterday and one of our nodes went down, although the other
node
which provides the PI portal stayed up (and the PI server stayed up,
although all the fiber switches & converters in the link went down too).
After I got the failed node back up, I thought everything was fine - all
the FBMs were communicating. However, this morning I found many PI
points
reading Bad Input - specifically with two particular CP30s. One CP is
communicating fine on the DCS, but the other is not (I haven't tried
rebooting it yet). The pimesslogfile from last night shows the
following
messages ...
(this message shows up for various points when the node was down)
28-Nov-06 16:00:41 FXBIA- 1> Error status 0x143 (0x23),
UTIL3:FCV954.OUT
(idx=3D 197)

(this message shows up for various points after the node was back up)

status
0x26 (0x146), idx=3D 1169
PIpt=3D cpd:XV9120.staind (23209), list=3D 14
After I stopped and restarted the PI interface this morning, the
pimesslogfile shows the following messages ...
29-Nov-06 07:06:01 FXBIA- 1> [scopen] Error 26 opening PILIST01005
[dset
9, scan=3D 4, rw=3D 1]

These 2 lists (5 & 6) are both associated with one CP30 - list 5 has 21
analog points, list 6 has 19 digital values. All the points in both
lists
show the same status - 0x143 for the analog and 0x145 for the digital.
(One analog point has error 0x8143)
There are also many errors associated with a CP30 that is acting as a
tank
processor for HTG ...
29-Nov-06 07:06:03 FXBIA- 1> [scopen] Error 26 opening PILIST01029

0x143
(0x0), idx=3D 449
PIpt=3D cpd:T_001.TEMP (20056), list=3D 29
These points are all in list 29 and have status 0x143 or 0x943.
Can anyone shed some light on what these status codes mean and how I can
get these lists back reading again?
