Re: [foxboro] PI OSI compatibility to I/A version 6.4

Version 4.2.6 has some new features. One of more of them cause PI heartburn.

The features can be disabled by setting:

ia_badstat=0
skip_omread=0
protect_index=0

in the foxapi.cfg file.

We (PI and Foxboro) are not quite sure whether any one of these is the
culprit or if it is the mix, but we know that setting them this way allows
PI to work as before. Further research is always welcome.

For a description of these and other FoxAPI configuration parameters,
request a copy of the FoxAPI Information Bulletin from the Customer
Satisfaction Center. There are also user notes for V4.2.6 available.

        Subject: [foxboro] PI OSI compatibility to I/A version 6.4

        Hi List,

        Has anybody tried the following set up :

        PI system interface version 2.07
        PI_API version 1.3.4.
        with FoxAPI version 4.2.6 ( version that comes with I/A version 6.4)
running
        on an AW51D.

        Current system runs on :
        PI system interface version 2.07
        PI_API version 1.3.1.3.
        with FoxAPI version 4.2.5

        I am a bit concerned that things might not work after the upgrade.

        Regards,
