I can only advise you to make sure to get well informed about the differences between COM30FT and FBM231. A one-on-one replacement is (IMHO) far from possible! Some items to watch for: - are all your slave devices dual-ported redundant. If not, you might have to use an FBM230! - Modbus request are assembled automatically in an FBM231 (have not heard of a new Modbus driver yet). If there are 'gaps' in your modbus register/coil addressing in your slave devices you might not be able to use FBM23x unless you are able to 'fix' these gaps in your slave devices. From this community list you can find that other users were severely bitten! At some point we will be faced with a very similar upgrade as you are planning. I would sure be interested to here the story on the baseplates. If what you describe is true that would be a real disappointment! Our baseplates were installed somewhere around 1998/1999 so I guess we would have the same problem. Kind regards, Patrick Martens Total Raff. Ned.
