there are no 'symbols' internally defined for in an I/A system. Your
best bet would be to try and follow the ISA guidelines or any that
have already been defined by your company.
But you are right, it is just a block with many inputs, outputs, and
configurable parameters to do many things.
The I/A Block Book will become your best friend ;)
