Re: [foxboro] OAJ in Aim

Tom,

The easy way is to purchase one of the tools suggested.

Some alternatives include:
1) You can use the apitst tool to get messages - with the an_get_msgs
function test. This is OK if you only need to find one message and
don't care how long it takes you.
2) You can use the OLE DB license which I believe is included with
your AIM* to access the data in AIM* and import it in to excel or a
database.
3) You can use the ODBC license which I believe is included with your
AIM* to access the data in AIM* and import it in to excel or a
database.

Personally I had many problems with the ODBC driver and settled on the
OLE DB method. If you're going to go this far, may as well go all the
way - put your OAJ messages in a database and see if your MIS guys
will build you a query front end for it. Then go ahead and collect
your alarms and do the same with them.

Cheers,

Kevin FitzGerrell
