There are things to be careful about in this solution. In particular, if
the WP is not running, the sequence code will get an operational error
trying to access the shared variable and will by default stop
processing.
Also, since the DMCMD variable is available to all, someone else my
"stomp" on your command before it executes - 1 each second.
Similarly, the message line is easily overwritten.
You might want to consider these options in your design.
