Brian, The /etc/netmasks file is used to permanently set a netmask to an IP address. It is best to use the mechanisms provide by the operating system. It looks like you trying to set a netmask for nodebus interface (le0) on a 51A or 51B machine. Why do you want to do this? IA, by default expects a class B netmask (255.255.0.0). I want to change the netmask on le0 to 255.255.255.192 permanently on an AW51. If I use ifconfig, it reverts back to 255.255.0.0 next reboot. Their must be a better way than to make a startup scrip. Any ideas? -Thanks in advance, Brian Bates. =20 =20 _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
