Stan,

In your environment file, use the command "display_bar off" and you will loose
the button bar.  Use the command "status_bar off" to lose the status bar on the
bottom.  You can also remove "alarm_bar", "message_bar" and "time_date_bar" if
desired.  

If you want to let the operators decide which way is best, have two
environments, one with the bars and one without.  Alternatively, because you can
these are normal display commands, you can execute them from foxview to
dynamically turn the bars on or off.
