Re: [foxboro] Network Issues ? or AW issues?

Bryan,
        I can't help you on this as we are yet to implement our MESH
network, (Oct 06), but we are very interested in finding out what is the
root cause of your issue. If you would be so kind as to share with all
of us what you find out it would be greatly appreciated.
        I asked a few weeks ago if anyone has any FBM232's in service
doing Modbus, OPC, or FoxGuard interfacing. No one answered so I wonder
if it just isn't ready for primetime yet, or are the folks that have
them too busy working out the bugs to answer. Any experience or
insights are appreciated.
        BTW Bryan, are your Server 2003 AW's serving remote Foxview
windows to remote PC's? =20

Subject: [foxboro] Network Issues ? or AW issues?

The system:
We have upgraded to V8.1.1.  We have: 2 AW's (Server 2003), 4 WP's (Dell
=3D
XP 370's , 380) 1 Host (Dell XP 370)  2 Switches (24 position)  8 CP =3D
270's  1 ZCP 270.

The problem:

        On two occasions we have rendered our AW's useless (screens go
away =3D
connections go away). The common denominator is the re-booting of our =
=3D
off platform historian. We are using Foxaim V.3.2.3.51. We use both =
=3D
AW's as remote collectors. It has happened one time to each AW.

        The last time this happened all processes were properly shutdown
by =3D
Aim. I was not present for the other excursion.
        Has anyone experienced any issues like this? =3D20
        My next stop is to write a CAR. I just thought I would visit
the board =3D
for some idea's
