Or run

prtconf

it will tell you all about the box.

Use hostname.hme0 for the 2nd port. If you run ifconfig -a you can see what
the port designations are

Subject: [foxboro] Network

Have an new P81 Solaris 8.0 I/A 7.1
Trying to put this bad boy on the company WAN
TAC is no help on the new stuff!
Added the IP and name to the hosts file
Added the name to hostname.hme1
Added the Default Gateway and Subnet Mask to the netmasks file
Added the following to rc.foxapps
#! /bin/sh
/usr/sbin/route add net default xxx.xxx.xxx.x 1

This should make it load the default gateway
Have done this countless times at other software versions on 51B and 51D
boxes and had no problems.
AW boots with no errors.
"netstat -r" does not show hme1
"ifconfig -a" shows hme1 not to be up
"ifconfig hme1 up" will bring the card up
"route add default xxx.xxx.xxx.x 1"
will add the default router and all is well.
Why won't it come up by it's self?
Thanks
Troy
