No need to day0 but you must consider these issues:

Depends on what applications you are running on your machine.
Licensed packages get affected by the hostid, which is in the NVRAM

Also pre-6.2 software, FBM's to CP to Host relationship issues arise.
This would be the equivalent of replacing your 51 host.
Pre-6.2 software issue, CP is registered to the 51 hardware mac address
(also in NVRAM)

51 mac address that was formerly registered to CP would now be gone. An =
FBM
requested download fails because CP has lost it's path to the registered
host. Only recovery is reboot CP to register the new host mac or use a
utility to patch the new mac into the CP.
