Re: [foxboro] Moving XP box from 7.0 to 8.x

Ali,
This is excellent information and could well be the root of our
problem. We had read that FoxAPI and the AIM* package installation
would generate committed installation errors and needed to be installed
outside the commit process but there was no mention that it would lock
up the AW in a perpetual reboot situation. It appears, maybe, that
those packages should never be assigned to an 8.x AW in SysDef, in order
to avoid this situation.
We have received some other suggestions, as well, off the list, that
have to do with the Allied Telesys fiber NIC installation. We will
attempt the installation again tomorrow and will let the list know what
works. Again, Ali, thanks for your willingness to share your
experiences with all of us. It is this kind of information that can't
be obtained by contacting Foxboro alone. The combined sharing, on a
global basis, of our experiences, makes this list extremely
helpful/valuable.

Cheers,
Tom VandeWater
