I must be missing something in all this. Don't you all use the auxiliary
contacts built into the motor starter to hold in the starter?
I don't see any operational deficiencies in either GDEV or MTR.
The only improvement I might make would be to transition the AUTDSR back to
0 if the motor didn't start.
That way you wouldn't have to toggle AUTDSR twice (off, then on again) to
try restarting the pump.
