Re: [foxboro] Motor Start/Stop Logic

Yes, we do. This allows our stop contact to stop the motor, but not start
it.

We take another contact off the M for run status back to the DCS.

We don't because we send it to a PLC input so
we can have Ready To Run indication and overload
indication.

Are you using a seperate contact for running feedback
to your DCS?

I must be missing something in all this. Don't you all use the =
auxiliary
contacts built into the motor starter to hold in the starter?

I don't see any operational deficiencies in either GDEV or MTR.
The only improvement I might make would be to transition the AUTDSR back =
to
0 if the motor didn't start.
That way you wouldn't have to toggle AUTDSR twice (off, then on again) =
to
try restarting the pump.
