Re: [foxboro] Monitor replacements for WP30 workstations

We buy monitors from VarTech. (www.vartechsystems.com) The last one
purchased was model# GDM5001PT. This is actually a Sony monitor. Older
Sony model #'s that work are GDM-20E03, GDM-20F03. I'm not sure if these
are available new but refurbished seem to be fine. We don't have any touch
screen models. Remember also that when upgrading you'll need GCIO's and
adapter cables to go to the keyboards. I believe the Foxboro part number
for new style annunciator keyboard to GCIO cable is PO800MW. The old
style keyboard to GCIO cable is PO800MY.

Subject: [foxboro] Monitor replacements for WP30 workstations

I am trying to find information to upgrade the tired CRT monitors to LCD's
on several of our hardened workstations. I understand the horizontal scan
rates for the Mitsubishi monitors are 30 KHz and they run with composite
video, and the touchscreens are by Microtouch/3M. Has anyone had success
upgrading these to LCD's? and does anyone have the details on scan rates,
and sync signals for the original systems. I am also looking for a couple
of used hardened workstations for parts, and GCIO's that may work with
WP30's.
Thanks John Spigel
