Thanks to the excellent tip by Kevin Niederberger and some private e-mails
from others, I was able to install the driver for the Raptor GFX card by
following the instructions in document P0400PT in the section titled "PGX
Video PCI Card". The salient commands are repeated here:

# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t2d0s0 /cdrom
# cd /cdrom
# ./install_all

During installation, you may be asked a number of questions. Answer y to all
of these questions. When done, reboot with 'boot -r'.

Lessons learned:

1. pay attention to what kind of 2nd video card the box has
2. keep track of the enclosed software that came with the Sun boxes
3. if help is needed, this list is an invaluable resource
