Andre,
I sent that script, but now that I sent it, I realize
that for FT CPs, the returned address is likely to be
the address of the fault tolerant module pair, not
the hardware MAC address of each module in the pair.
The only way I know to get the hardware address of
the individual modules is to build a script around
the 'remv/remd' software Foxboro uses in the Foxwatch
software set. I can't provide a script for this as
it isn't immediately available to me right now.
'remv' does provide pretty much the same information
as SMDH. It works through 'remd' which is an interface
to the System Monitor. Can't remember the command line
options well enough to pass them on, but there is documentation
covering them. I remember seeing it in the Alliance class
document from Foxboro Ed Services.
I have used 'remv' for System Monitor counters and such. It
is a bit tedious, but a good command of 'awk' makes it
quite usefull.
