Re: [foxboro] Lost+Found

Terry:
Thanks, Terry. I remember trying this before, but it wouldn't take. Doing
a little web surfing, everyone said that it couldn't be done. Maybe I
simply didn't do it correctly. We replaced a hard disk for an AW51B with
a Seagate (same exact model as the original Sun, but different label). We
ended up modifying the installation script to get it to work.

Jim:

So I guess that you can use any hard disk, but if you're not familiar with
the Unix format utility, go for the Sun disk.

Mike,

You can re-label any drive using the Unix format tool. For a Foxboro
drive, you want to label the drive with one of the Foxboro listed names.
You can down size a larger drive to one of the Foxboro standard sizes
with the same tool.

This should only be done on a drive that contains no valuable data such
as a drive that you are preparing for loading Day 0 IA or restoring a
backup of your existing (Foxboro supplied)hard drive.
