Sounds like you are running I/A version 7.x
7.x only supports SP1
SP2 will break your 7.x system..
V8.2 and above are the only I/A XP that supports SP2

Subject: [foxboro] Internet Information Server (IIS) on AW70 (XP) plus service
packs of XP
Dear All
We are having AW70 (XP based) connected on the Nodebus. This is used as =
OPC
server. The rest of the workstations are all UNIX based. We have already
installed PI OPC Client on the AW70. Now we are going to integrate this =
AW70
with the "Bluer & Kjaer Vibro OPC Client" (Compass OPC Client). The BKV
vendor has told us that IIS (Internet Information Server) is not enabled =
on
the machine as it requires XP service pack 1& 2. He wants to enable it =
for
his Client software to run.
Does any one see any harm if we install these service packs on the =
machine.
Will the Foxboro software run smoothly.
Regards,
Kashif Ijaz
