Re: [foxboro] Interfacing IA to Allen Bradley Controlnet

Yes, we had to create alias tag list to emulate the PLC5 in CL
memory.

On the Foxboro side, we changed the cable that was connected
from the INT30 to our existing 1771-KE's (rack mounted KF2's),
because the KE had a 15 pin connector and the KFC has a 25.
We also had to change some settings in the primary PLC ECB's.
But from the abscan blocks down to the control blocks, we kept
everything the same.

So, if you are familiar with the process of INT30 communications?
This method works well. We had to learn the hard way about the
settings on the KFC15 and we also had to bpatch a communication
file to get the IA and the KFC15 talking. We are using the A-B
+100 method of addressing in the PLC ECB.

Regards,
Glen
