For a project we did in the past in Belgium, we have installed Pepperl+Fuchs
and we are still very happy with this solution.
It's actually a thin client with an embedded Windows OS which connects to a
terminal server.

I'm interested in this approach, too, for other reasons. But one thing is
hanging me up: is the alarming going to be changed so that alarms can be
directed to a particular display/AM instance rather than all instances on
one station?
