Re: [foxboro] Increasing size of Import table

Increasing the IMPORT table will result in fewer broadcast messages and a
general improvement in the health of your network and a lower CPU burden for
processing unnecessary messages, but it will not actually get/set the data
faster.

Subject: [foxboro] Increasing size of Import table

Hi List,

has anyone got a positive result (faster sequence code interpretation)
by increasing the size of a station's import table?

2.5.5 Size Increase of Import Tables to 100 Entries
(CAR #1002093)
Problem A station's Import Table allows the station to remember the mac
address of
an object it wants to find, thus avoiding a network broadcast.
Increasing a
station's Import Table size would improve system performance.
Resolution I/A Series software V6.4 increases the size of Import Tables
to 100 entries in CP30s and later.

Regards,
Andreas
