For us poor folks that do not have mirrored disks, can we keep this =

open and solicit other suggestions?

I have external mirrored disks, so this may be an option.
Can you point me to where the script can be obtained?
thanks,

If your AW has mirrored disks, there is a nice solution. Foxboro has =
the
backup_mirror script, that lets you do a backup with the system running. =
It
takes the secondary disk in the mirror set offline, backs it up, then =
puts
it back online and remirrors.

Subject: [foxboro] I/A Batch 5.3 backups
I have an AW51B that is running I/A Batch 5.3.
It is my understanding that the batch directory cannot be backed up =
while
batch is running. (Never saw this in writting anywhere, just word of =
mouth).
This system runs 360 days a year, shutdown occurs every 3-4 months for =
24
hours or less. Backup's are made during the shutdown. However, whenever =
a
restore is required, the data is 3-4 months old and many recipes have =
been
added or changed during that time.
Does anyone have a better solution? If so would you share?
thanks,
