Re: [foxboro] Hypothetical alarming question

This is true, though I'm trying to avoid inhibits so these points do not
appear in the inhibited alarms process summary report.

Also our priority 5's _do_ show up on the AMs, though they don't make any
noise. I thought there was no way of getting around this (except maybe
with AM filters), but maybe this is a configuration issue; I'll have to
look into it.

[UCE] Re: [foxboro] Hypothetical alarming question

If I can make a belated response to this thread, (It's just Monday
morning here in sunny Australia). We use Inhalm as a matter of
consistency to manage this problem. This allows us to ennable or disable
any alarm in a block as required, and leaves all our alarm groups free
to be used as required. An example would be if we need the LAL and HAL
values for logic use but need HHAL and LLAL for alarm purposes we would
use the integer value 3 in inhalm.

Alan Armour

We also use priority 5, group 8 on any alarm we wish to activate but not
=3D show on any AMs or in the historian and haven't encountered any =3D
problems.
