The DELTxy parameter is used to specify a change delta for peer-to-peer
connections (where x=I) or to support scaling of bars on faceplates (x=I or
O).

You could us the high/low or highhigh/lowlow alarms to do what you want.

Set the alarm limit where the target cutoff is. Set the alarm deadband to
cover the fluctuations and use the alarm indicator Boolean to trigger the
desired action.

Since you don't want alarm messages from these alarms, leave the Alarm Group
as 0 or inhibit the alarm annunciation.

Make sense?

Subject: [foxboro] How can i use 'Clear Page' for all Alarm-Managers

Hi List,

what is the way to configure a redundant alarm manager configuration?

I need the functionality that using the "Clear page" AM-button on one =
AW51C has at the same time the same result on a second AW51C.

What I've already done?

1) Configuring an error free /usr/fox/alarms/*AApan-file

2) Configuring an error free /usr/fox/alarms/*AAtab-file using a =
selfmade script
(my script checks the existence of display files configured in the =
*AApan-file and supresses double entries of Compound:Blocks in the =
*AAtab-file)

3) Configuring an Alarm Manager config-file using AMDC

I avoided the usage of an config-file for every AW/WP. Here a snippet of =
the /usr/fox/alarms/Q7332U/am.log file.

12:10:54 5-3-04 Trying /usr/fox/customer/alarms/cfg/Q7332U.cfg.
12:10:54 5-3-04 Unable to open config file =
/usr/fox/customer/alarms/cfg/Q7332U.cfg
12:10:54 5-3-04 Trying /usr/fox/customer/alarms/cfg/am_def.cfg.

Configuring a *cfg-file for every AW/WP does not solve my problem.

Another point of interest is that I had an running system on V6.1 where =
the functionality had exists. Now at V6.5 and V6.51 is the functionality =
not given or not right configured.

Q7332U# more commgrp.cfg
#
# Common Alarm Group (CAG) Configuration File
#
# (CAD Redirection)
# WP CAG Backup BLK TOP USER CAG
# LBUG NAME1 LBUG DTL PRIO DISP NAME2
Q7331U CAGNAME Q7332U ------ ------ ------ ------------
Q7332U CAGNAME Q7331U ------ ------ ------ ------------
Q7331U#

A solution could be a script that sends an amcmd to the second AW-AM but =
is there no standard foxboro solution built-in?

Dirk
