Re: [foxboro] How can I get the status of a RAID drive on a 51D?

Well, here's the problem; I just don't know.

I messed around with this stuff a while ago after
blowing away the meta DB partition of a disk. I
got my disk into a readable state, but didnt go
much further. Did remember where this meta db
utility set was. Also remember that the devices
shown as /dev/md/... are the meta DB versions
of the disk addresses.

Sorry I cant be more help.

re you certain this works for the external hardware RAID units? This looks
like the stuff we use for the mirrored drives.

The edvices on the machine withe RAID look like this:

AW0102# bdf
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 65759 32750 26439 56% /
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6 887503 545972 252781 69% /usr
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s4 44159 14690 25059 37% /var
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s7 15579552 419924 13601678 3% /opt

Rather than:
AP0550# bdf
Filesystem kbytes used avail capacity Mounted on
/dev/md/dsk/d0 49855 20929 23946 47% /
/dev/md/dsk/d4 822151 453894 286047 62% /usr
/dev/md/dsk/d2 37927 5803 28334 17% /var
/dev/md/dsk/d5 2719925 671055 1776880 28% /opt

Which is from a unit with mirrored drives. I don't _beleive_ that the
external hardware RAID boxes us metadevices, although I am certainly
willing to be educated in the error of my ways.
