I've had similiar problems with our historians.  We found that someone had a
number of reduction groups setup with bad points.  The bad points were
probably good at one time and never cleaned up.  The problem surfaced when
we tried to add another reduction group and could not get the new group to
run.  Once we cleaned up the historian and all the reduction groups the
problem went away.

Hi list,

 We are experiencing a problem with our historian. For some unknown reason,
the historian reduction groups are not working. So far we have taken the
following actions to no avail:

- Rebooted the AW
- Stopped and started the historian (in our case named FKHS01) via the
historian scheduler
- Stopped and started the reduction groups
- Stopped and started the reduction groups via the "clr start" option. The
first time we tried this option, we got an error message(error code -8),
which we haven't got    in other tries of the "clr start" command.


After all these actions, the historian reduction groups do not work.

I would appreciate if anybody has an insight into this kind of problem.
