Re: Has anyone tried to build a OpenSolaris based system and had any success
with it?
Code written for Solaris on a SPARC chip (what we sold) won't run on Solaris
for Intel.
Our code isn't Open Source.
BTW, it took us five years and millions to move to Solaris 10 on SPARC and then
Sun (now Oracle) dropped their "desktop-style" machines with almost no notice.
We tried, it just didn't work out.
