Re: [foxboro] Hard Drive Problems in 51B

You should have specific parameters to make I/A think the drive is the
proper size:

When formatting the drive all parameters are left at their default value
except these

Cylinders: 7506
Heads: 19
Sect: 248
Rpm: 7200

Hope this helps,

Regards

Subject: [foxboro] Hard Drive Problems in 51B

Hello list,

I searched the archives a little bit but could not come up with a direct
answer to my question, which is?

Can you install a Fujitsu Model MAS3184NC Hard Drive in a model 51B Box????
This is a 18.4GB.

Here is what I've sone so far....
I was able to boot up from cdrom on Ver 6.2 Day0 CDROM. Then I enetered the
format menu and tried formatting the Drive. I was successfull in doing so
and I even let it do both verification checks. Then when I try an
ia_install script I get an error telling me about "Get_Size" error and the
script stops. In the archives I see where people have edited the format.dat
files to include their hard disk specs. I tried but was unsucessfull. If
anyone knows of a easy way out there to accomplish this could you please
reply??

Thanks in advance
