1. It just seems ugly. :)
2. Alarm inhibiting/alarm destinations can be set per compound. This can
be useful if one compound corresponds to one process unit. Not so useful
if one compound = one block type.
3. You will need to use the full C:B.P syntax instead of just :B.P when
making connections between blocks in each loop.
4. May make it difficult to have blocks of each loop process in a logical
order.
5. Blocks of each loop will not be located next to each other on the
Select screen.

We are in the design phase for a new Foxboro I/A project. For our
compounds, we were considering having one compound for each type of block
(AIN, COUT, etc). It seems that this is a break from the norm, grouping by
system. Any thoughts as to why grouping by block type would be a bad
idea?Thanks,
