We are also implementing several new Invensys InFusion projects and elected
to use compounds as loop tags. For instance, an AI loop contains a compound
named LI-99999x and a strategy named LI-99999x_strategy. The strategy
contains on AIN Block. Although there are many compounds and strategies
within the system, we find it easier to manage this way. From what I have
gathered, this is not the preferred method; however, it works fine for us
thus far.

Subject: [foxboro] Grouping for compounds
We are in the design phase for a new Foxboro I/A project. For our
compounds, we were considering having one compound for each type of block
(AIN, COUT, etc). It seems that this is a break from the norm, grouping by
system. Any thoughts as to why grouping by block type would be a bad idea?
Thanks,
Jeff
