Re: [foxboro] Gateway Initialization

I don't have a written procedure for this, but I had to do this same thing
with a CP40 due to a missing compound.

First thing I did was to get a printout of the missing compound/blocks using
dbvu. Its located in /opt/fox/bin/tools , I think I used the -t option to
get a parameter report.

Next would be doing a saveall, initialize, reboot, loadall. Then you can
use the printout to rebuild the compound and blocks that are missing. Good
luck.

Subject: [foxboro] Gateway Initialization

Folks,

I would appreciate any help in identifying the specific IA document that
describes the CP/Gateway initialization procedure (assume they are the same
procedure). I have an A-B Gateway with a Compound that appears in the
Select
Display listing, but does not appear in the ICC. Cannot explain how it
happened (can only guess), but from memory, there is an initialization
procedure that must be followed that will resolve (something like ...,
SaveAll, Initialize CP/Gateway, reinstall ECB's, Load Compounds, rebuild
missing Compound, etc.). I do not want to overlook a critical step, so
would
like to follow a documented procedure.

I have tried the CSC search utility, and manually searched a number of IA
documents, all with no success in finding documentation on the
Initialization
procedure.

Thanks for any help/advice you can provide ...
