Re: [foxboro] GE turbines GSM protocol to AW51D over 2nd ethernet port

Your license from Foxboro is tied to the machine id which is contained in
NVRAM. When you replace the NVRAM (or the machine that runs your application)
you must match the NVRAM information with the license. You can:
1. Put the old NVRAM in the new machine (if it's the same type machine)
2. Obtain a new license based upon the new machine id from Foxboro
3. Reprogram the new machine NVRAM with the old machine id.

Your best bet is to call CSC and request a new license. You may need to provide
the old machine id just to convince them that you are on the up and up.

Subject: [foxboro] GE turbines GSM protocol to AW51D over 2nd ethernet port

The above mentioned protocol was running to get data from GE-HMI to =
AW51D
via 2nd Ethernet port. We had to change the machine due to some problem. =
Now
data is not updating because of authorization failed message.=20

Foxboro tells one solution is to remove old NVRAM from old box and =
replace
in new box. But the machine is on a remote site. What else can we do to =
get
the authorization code fixed. I have the Ethernet connection to the =
machine.

DI-50 program is running in the AW51D.

Subject: [foxboro] Viewing AIM*Historian string data

Folks,
This seemed simple enough when I started... I added string data (IND
blocks, SN0010, etc.) to the AIM*Historian but I cannot view this data =
via
Data Link or the Historian Browser. I get "No Data Available". I can =
get
my regular data, just not string data this way. =20

One of the engineers just needs to view string data. All my searching =
on
the Foxboro and Freelists archive only mention more complicated ways of
getting this data than what we need.

I know string data has had its limitations in the past (legacy =
Historian,
etc.), but I thought that was behind us with AIM*Historian. Should I be =
I
be able to view string values using Data Link or the Historian Browser?

Thanks.
