Hi Terry,
Please allow me to offer the following information.
If I understand your request correctly, the "securing" of an end in
order to create a pivot point is implemented through the reference point
function of FoxDraw. I am certain that this works because we teach it
in our 2005 course, FoxDraw/FoxView.
From B0193WG, FoxDraw:
Setting a Reference Point
Every object has a reference point. By default, the reference point is
the center of the object.
You can specify a different location as the reference point.
To set the reference point
1. Select the object.
2. From the Object menu, choose Set Reference Point.
3. Left-click at the desired location.
4. When a red X appears, drag it to where you want it.
5. Release the mouse button.
The X disappears, and the new reference point is set.
To reset a reference point
You can restore the default reference point.
1. Select the object.
2. From the Object menu, choose Set Reference Point.
3. Choose Reset Reference Point.
Free advice for Wednesday, November 29, 2006:
If the object you are trying to set a reference point for is quite
simple (not a grouping of many objects) the snap gravity mode will be
very usefull in making sure that you are setting the reference point on
the absolute end of it. (without having to zoom in to 10%, stare at the
screen form very close up and squint to make sure you are clicking on
the end...)
Best regards,
Howard
