Re: [foxboro] FoxView Auto Logoff of User Environment using XPWorkstations

About the FeedForward auto logoff utility -

That particular auto logoff utility uses X-Windows libraries; and in
particular, looks for X-Window inactivity to kick off the DM commands to
change the DM/FV environment. The core program is actually a modified
X-Lock/screen saver GNU program.

In any case, it won't work with the 70 series.

The Feedforward utility uses DM CMDs to call a script. You may be able
to alter the script to run in a nutcracker shell.
Just a guess, I don't have any 70 series stations to play on.

Thanks Ken,

I am aware of this program and think it only works on UNIX since it uses
a compiled program for Solaris. I have tried it on a UNIX box and it
would do what I want if it only worked on XP as well.

Workstations

Has anyone written a utility that will automatically log off a user from
an environment if it is idle for a period of time for FoxView on XP? I
have a couple of XP stations in areas were I need to have the box log
off automatically to the Initial environment if there is no activity for
awhile.
 We are running version 7.1.1.

Thanks,
