Re: [foxboro] FoxView Auto Logoff of User Environment using XP Workstations

Alex,

We have a total of 4 XP WPs installed on our Solaris version 7.1.1 system.
Of these 4 stations, presently 2 of them are in an area that we do not
presently have locked doors with card readers installed and I wanted to make
sure that the operators were logging off of these 2 stations when they
leave. All other workstations are in a control room that is operated 24/7
and are behind locked doors, so we do not have the operators log in and out
of these stations. I was looking for a solution that would do this without
a large cost. From what I remember the FoxCTS is a product that would be
overkill for what I wanted to do unless it has changed. I think I remember
it needs to run on an AW which ours would be Solaris and the stations I
wanted to monitor is 2 XP stations. Is this a possibility and if so, what
part number would I be looking for and what type of cost would I be looking
at?

Thanks,

FoxCTS provides this service and a number of others for both Windows and
Solaris.

If you don't want control station tracking, but do want screen
inactivity and/or Individual User Login/Logout, you can do that as well.
Order the most inexpensive version and do not install the component that
tracks CPs (SMMR).

Subject: [foxboro] FoxView Auto Logoff of User Environment using XP
Workstations

Has anyone written a utility that will automatically log off a user from
an
environment if it is idle for a period of time for FoxView on XP? I
have a
couple of XP stations in areas were I need to have the box log off
automatically to the Initial environment if there is no activity for
awhile.
 We are running version 7.1.1.

Thanks,
