Re: [foxboro] FoxCAE and AutoCAD

Hi Tim

I created a FoxCae Ver4.2 "dxf" file with FoxCae running on Windows
2000.
The file which I have take the liberty to mail to you "off-list" can be
opened using
AutoCad(lite) 2000 and AutoCad 2002.

I hope this answers your question.

I remember having a discussion a while back about FoxCAE DXF files not
being
read by AutoCAD 2000. At one point there was a suggestion that maybe
AutoCAD 2002 had corrected this problem. Does anybody have both FoxCAE
and
AutoCAD 2002 and can confirm that this is true?

We have FoxCAE and AutoCAD 2000, and they definitely don't work
together,
which is not making our drafting guys happy. If the solution is to
upgrade,
that would at least be better than what they currently do, which is to
reboot, fire up AutoCAD 14, edit our DXF files, then reboot again and go
back to AutoCAD 2000. The loss of productivity would easily justify an
upgrade, I imagine.
