Re: [foxboro] FoxAPi

First step, obtain and install the latest FoxAPI Quick Fix. I think it is
V4.2.5, but there may be a 4.2.6 by now.

Second step, check /usr/fox/bin/fox_apps.dat.Look for lines that read FOXAPI
and ADDE6. Only one of these lines should be present in the file. If both
are present delete one. I usually delete ADDE6. The FOXAPI or ADDE6 line
should be AFTER the ACSA line if there is an ACSA line.

After this is done, edit /.cshrc and add /opt/fox/ais/bin to the path line.
There are plenty of examples.

Open a new csh window, type:

aisstart

This will stop and start FoxAPI.


Type:

foxtst

Enter 1200
Enter 29

This will show you the FoxAPI version that is running.

        I would like to write a C program using FoxAPI calls like

        However when I start my programs , it tells me   "FoxAPI is not
        running-Please restart application after FoxAPI is started !"

        When I check with a ps command , FoxAPI is running !

        We are using FoxAPI ver 4.2.0   (I/A series ver 6.2.1)
