New question with respect to writing into our I/A v8.4.2 system
We have a 3rd party application that was compiled using "NetAPI MFC Class"
We installed the FoxAPI v4.3.2 on one of our v8.4.2 XP P92 stations
The 3rd party machine is networked to the v8.4.2 P92
We can read values across this link from the I/A system but if we try to write
to blocks the application fails.
We also have an AIM* historian on they system so I thought I would give the
AimAPI a try and pointed the 3rd party app to the AimAPI (by changing the
an_init.cfg IP/port) This test worked and the application could now read &
write into the I/A system via AimAPI.
However I don't want to use AimAPI
Why won't the application work with FoxAPI ?
I have an open call with Foxboro that is going no where fast. The young lady
doesn't even think that there is a difference between the to API's (FoxAPI &
AimAPI)
Where can I go to get more help?
Thanks
Peter
