Re: [foxboro] FoxAPI

I am accessing the data via DDE from excel by putting a formula as below:

=iaserver|objectaccess!'AW510B/COMPOUND:AIN.PNT'

And I am only accessing AIN/PIDA blocks and three parameters namely PNT,
MEAS & OUT. Also very few CALCA's.

My past experience regarding defining wrong COMPOUND:BLOCK is that Data For
Windows returns a zero, while foxapi.log logs a error pertaining to that
particular tag.

Also funny thing is it was working till a few days back.

Thanks & Regards

The om error code -5 means /* Unaccessible change driven var. */
My guess is, you are probably trying to read a variable which is not
connectable. I am not sure how you find out which variable that is. Maybe
there is SOM utility [ed. ouch!] that will tell you?
